7 Aam Admi Party MP joins Bharatiya Janata Party on 24th April, including Raghav Chadha, who confirmed the submission of a signed letter to Rajya Sabha chairman this morning
AAP MP Raghav Chadha says, “We have decided that we, the 2/3rd members belonging to the AAP in Rajya Sabha, exercise the provisions of the Constitution of India and merge ourselves with the BJP.”
MP Harbhajan Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Vikram Sahney and Swati Maliwal, alongside Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, have resigned
A few days ago, AAP officially asked the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to stop allocating speaking opportunities to Chadha and removed him from the deputy leader position, and proposed Punjab MP Ashok Mittal as the new Deputy Leader in the Upper House. Chadha stated in a video that he has been “[silenced, not defeated]” and added, “Don’t mistake my silence for surrender.” I’m a quiet river now, but I know how to rise into a flood.”
After that, the rumour spread that he would join the BJP, followers divided into two parts with different opinions supporting her and opposing the AAM Admi Party decision. He has been quite famous for some months for highlighting the problems of the general citizen, like the mobile recharge price hike, minimum recharge, etc. His videos are gaining popularity amongst the Youth.
