Israeli aircraft demolished the Qasmiyeh Bridge on the Litani River in southern Lebanon on Sunday. Israel launched a new airstrike across the lebanon, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported.

The Israeli military claimed the strikes, saying they targeted Hezbollah positions. Earlier, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military to “immediately” destroy all bridges over the Litani River used by the group.

This attack came as a reaction after a Hezbollah rocket was fired on Sunday on the Israel- Lebanon border, killed a Israeli civilian. The first civilian death from fire out of Lebanon since the start of the recent U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran. Two Israeli soldiers were killed in Lebanon earlier this month.
