A 45-year-old woman of Punjabi origin was stabbed to death in Ontario, Canada. The incident occurred on Tuesday night (March 3), and the woman has been identified as Nancy Grewal, a YouTuber.

As per the LaSalle Police Service, officers and paramedics responded to the report of a stabbing shortly before 9:30 pm (local time) in the 2400 block of Todd Lane.

The police statement informed that investigators are seeking assistance from the public, particularly any surveillance footage from nearby homes or businesses that could help identify the assailant involved in the attack.

Previously, Grewal had been involved in many controversies in the past, particularly for her criticism of leaders linked to the Shiromani Akali Dal. She had also spoken publicly against jailed Member of Parliament Amritpal Singh, Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia and Gurinder Singh Dhillon, the head of the Dera Beas sect.

Grewal had also commented on the alleged killing of fellow social media influencer Kanchan Kumari, popularly known as Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, who was found dead in Bathinda in June 2025.

She had also expressed strong views on tensions between India and Canada, condemning Khalistani groups in several of her public posts.

Police said the investigation into the stabbing remains ongoing and further updates will be issued as more information becomes available.
