TCS, Tata Consultancy Services — the name itself makes us think of a huge organisation, along with the ideals of honest people like Ratan Tata. It is said that a shocking incident took place at the TCS Nashik centre, a story that leaves people astonished! The year was 2023. In Nashik, Maharashtra, there was a TCS BPO office with around 147 employees at that time.

Naturally, recruitment was carried out according to company policy, and most of those hired were women between the ages of 18 and 25, along with some male employees. Their salaries were around ₹20,000 to ₹25,000. Most of them did not come from financially privileged families; rather, they were employees whose families depended on them for stability.

So naturally, that one job was extremely valuable to them. All the newly joined employees were placed under some senior staff members( Asif Ansari, Danish Shafi Shaikh, Shahrukh Qureshi, Raza, Tausif Aftar, etc.). The manager of that unit was a woman named Nida Khan, and according to some sources, those senior employees used to address her as “Lady D.”

Now, coming to the inside details. It is reported that among the new employees, there was a 23-year-old woman who already knew a senior employee named Danish Sheikh. Danish encouraged her to join TCS. It is also said that he made promises of marriage while also physically harassing her. The woman reportedly replied, “Okay, I’ll think about it.”

Meanwhile, she cleared the interview and got selected at TCS. Over time, they became closer, and about a year passed like this. Then, in August 2024, Tausif allegedly called the woman and demanded a physical relationship. He also threatened that if she refused, he would inform her family about her relationship with Danish. Soon after, the woman came to know that Danish already had a wife and two children.

When she confronted him, Danish reportedly told her that he had never intended to marry her. The woman then realised that she had fallen into a trap with hidden motives. As time passed, it became clear that this was not only the story of one woman.

Reports claimed that incidents of sexual harassment, mental abuse, physical assault, and attempts at religious conversion against women were increasing. Meanwhile, a political worker informed the police and filed an FIR. The police then began a secret investigation, after which many shocking details allegedly came to light.

The affair state that Nida Khan and Tausif allegedly told the complainant that Shivling represented male genitalia and that worshipping it was obscene. Danish Sheikh is also accused of making derogatory remarks about lord Krishna and Draupadi, which the complainant said hurt her religious sentiments.

It was also reported that, alongside people like Tausif and Danish, the manager, Nida Khan, was accused of misconduct and involvement in the case. After April 26, the number of complaints reportedly increased. Out of nine FIRs filed against them, six allegedly involved charges related to influencing religious conversion.

They were arrested. What a shocking matter, isn’t it? In response, TCS stated its zero-tolerance policy. However, many felt that the company’s actions appeared somewhat indifferent. It also raised concerns that such incidents may not be limited to TCS alone, but could exist within other large companies as well.
